DESCRIPTION:Registration for this event closes at Thu 10 Feb 2022 21:00.\nKiteboarding Australia in conjunction with Kiteboarding Western Australia is thrilled to announce that in lieu of the Wave Nationals\, the Margaret River Quobba Classic as part of the Cabrinha National Wave Series will go ahead between the 11th and 13th of February.\n  \nThe opportunity to go forth with an event at Main Break\, Margaret River was too good to pass up despite the closed border putting a hold on the planned Wave Nationals. \nIt’s great news for the citizens of Western Australia who can head to Margs this weekend to get the opportunity to kite Main Break all to yourself and take part in a fun wave event! \nForecasts are suggesting great conditions for the event but we will follow with updates and a detailed schedule on Wednesday evening the 9th of February. \nFor riders that had already registered for the Wave Nationals\, your rego will cary into the ‘Classic’. For those who haven’t registered yet\, please jump on board and sign up today to assist with the planning of the event. \nWe thank everyone for their patience whilst we organise the logistics of the changed event plan. DESCRIPTION:Development Clinic Two: Competition\, conditioning and freestyle \nJoin Kiteboarding WA in conjunction with WestOz Kiteboarding and Duotone for round two of their development clinic aimed at developing freestyle kiteboarding within WA. \nWith the Kite Karnival event featuring the Australian Freestyle National’s fast approaching\, coaching will be provided to those interested in future competition riding and riders looking to improve their current freestyle riding. These clinics will cater for both girls and guys and both unhooked and hooked tricks. Content will cover how to physically train for riding\, injury prevention\, how to ride/train for heats and finish with on the water coaching. Riders can expect small friendly groups with expert coaching from previous national champion and physiotherapist Dan Anderson and 2 x national champion Chrissy Gaudieri. \nRegistration is essential and riders will be provided with a free Duotone hoody and tee shirt to get your stoke going! The clinic will be held at The Pond\, Safety Bay on Sunday Jan 12th. The clinics will run from 1-5pm with riders meeting on the grass outside the new WestOz Kiteboarding headquarters (formerly WA Surf). The clinic is free of charge but all riders will need to be current members of KiteboardingWA aka Kiteboarding Australia for insurance purposes. The clinic is open to all non-sponsored riders that are looking to progress into old school (board offs\, one footer\, spins) or new school tricks (unhooking). \nRiders must be a member of KiteboardingWA (WAKSA/KA) and have a minimum standard of riding including: being able to ride upwind\, handle most conditions\, be comfortable with normal jumping and have no issues with relaunching. Riders can expect small friendly groups with expert coaching from past national champions and professional Duotone rider Dan Anderson. \nRegistration is essential and riders will be provided with a free Duotone hoody and tee shirt to get your stoke going!
