DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that tickets are finally on sale for the Redkite Santa Downwinder!\nWe apologise for the delay\, up at the North Pole Santa has been very busy getting ready for the big night – wrapping the presents\, making his list\, checking it twice – and lost track of time.\nThe details:\n Meeting point at Leighton Beach\n Sunday 19th December\n45 ($20 for Christmas Party only)\n\nTickets are $45 for the full Santa Downwinder and the Christmas Party\, including food at the Orange Box. If you would like to skip the downwinder and only come to the Christmas party\, you can purchase a ticket for $20 which will include food and one drink\n\nPURCHASE YOUR TICKET HERE\nIn the event of no wind and the downwinder being cancelled\, the Christmas celebrations will still go ahead at The Orange Box. To cover expenses and administrative fees $20 from your admission fee will be withheld.\n\nWe have the Orange Box booked from 4pm onwards with music and drinks for the kiteboarding community to get together. A variety of beers and cider will be available\, but you are welcome to bring your own beverage and leave it in your car in an esky for the afterparty. Friends and family are welcome to come to the celebrations!\n\n Christmas is a time of giving and sharing with those around us. Kiteboarding WA has partnered with Redkite to make a difference in the lives of children battling cancer. You can donate to the Redkite Charity to help provide essential and practical support to affected children and their families here.\n\n\nSign up today and celebrate together with the community this Christmas! \nTHE ITINERARY \nThe Downwinder participants will meet at Leighton beach car park where the Downwinder will finish. You can park your car here with a change of clothes and a towel for when you finish and get transported back by bus. \nPlease be at the Leighton beach car park at 12am. YOU MUST REGISTER UPON ARRIVAL TO TAKE PART IN THE EVENT. Please don’t leave it to the last minute to arrive\, we will have around 70 kiters to check-in and organise and this will delay the event. Please know what size kite you will need and limit the gear you load to just what you need! We will have some pumps at the beach that can be passed around\, or if you prefer\, bring your own. \nEVERYONE MUST be at the Rider Safety Briefing at 1pm at Leighton Beach where the Kiteboarding WA teardrop flag will be. Once the briefing has finished\, we will begin to set up and start around 2pm. We know that some people will do the downwinder faster than others\, so don’t worry\, IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO THE FULL DOWNWINDER AND WILL BE GETTING OUT AT FLOREAT YOU MUST LET US KNOW AT REGISTRATIONS! WE WILL HAVE A TEAR DROP FLAG WHERE YOU NEED TO GET OUT. SIGN OUT WITH US AT THIS POINT IF YOU GET OUT.  \nOr if you finish the downwinder at South Trigg beach\, sign out: IMPORTANT: ALL RIDERS MUST SIGN OUT!!! If you don’t we will have sea rescue looking for you!!!!!! \nOnce you have signed out and packed up\, get ready to load the coaches around 4-4:30. Please be aware that due to the nature of the event and depending on the number of participants this time can slightly change. \nWe have the Orange Box booked from 4pm onwards with music and drinks for the kiteboarding community to get together. A variety of beers and cider will be available\, but you are welcome to bring your own beverage and leave it in your car in an esky for the afterparty. If you haven’t already\, please join the Kiteboarding WA Facebook page to keep up to date with kiteboarding events happening in WA at www.facebook.com/kiteboardingwa and don’t forget to let all of your family and friends know about the awesome fundraising you are doing! \nWe look forward to seeing you Santa’s on the water!!
