Location Guide – Pinnaroo Point
An excellent spot for intermediate and expert kiters, offering plenty of space and some serious bumps to launch off.
To the south of the point is a dog/horse beach, please do not rig/land/launch in this area.
On Saturdays, between October and April, the Whitfords Bay Sailing Club hold races from the point. WAKSA requests that all kiters show respect to the club and competitors.
- do not cut in front of the boats during races
- do not launch or land within 50m of their setup.
Thieves operate in the carpark, so make sure that no valuables are left in your car.
Please Note: One of Australia”s busiest kite schools (AKS) operates from this beach 7 days a week from October through until the end of April.
Priority is to be given to all learners in this area.
