2025 Notice of Annual General Meeting of Kiteboarding Western Australia Incorporated

I am delighted to invite you to the Kiteboarding Western Australia Incorporated 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM). Put on your best beach shirt and join us on Thursday, 13 November 2025, at the Fremantle Surf Life Saving Club, 20 Leighton Beach Blvd, North Fremantle. The meeting will be opened at 6:30pm (sharp) to conduct the business outlined in the Constitution.

🕕 Gathering from 6:00pm for discussions and catch-ups – AGM from 6:30pm (sharp) to 7:30pm, followed by drinks and informal conversation

There’s plenty in motion, and the Board of Directors and Executive Staff look forward to sharing more details at our upcoming AGM. We’d love to see as many members as possible attend, participate in discussions, and cast their votes. It’s your chance to help shape the direction of our sport in Western Australia. At the meeting, the Board will ask you to:

Accept the minutes of the last AGM
Accept the Annual Report
Accept the annual financial statements
Discharge the Board for the financial year 2024/2025
Elect the current Directors for another term
Elect a new female Director to ensure balanced representation
Accept the Rebranding of ‘Kiteboarding WA’ to ‘Kite & Wing WA’
Provide constructive input and ideas for a bright KWA future!

Proposed Rebranding to ‘Kite & Wing Western Australia’
At the AGM, the Board will propose to rebrand the organisation to ‘Kite & Wing Western Australia’. This reflects our growing community across all wind-propelled water sports and our desire to promote inclusion and participation in both kiteboarding and wing foiling. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this important step. For our rationale for changing the branding and constitution, please see ’SUPPORTING INFORMATION AGM 2025’.

Call for a Female Board Member
To ensure a balanced representation, the Board is seeking nominations for a female director to step forward and nominate herself for a position on the Board. We encourage all interested women with an analytical mind, available volunteer time, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the sport to get involved and help us complement our leadership team. Please find further information in the attached position descriptions. Nominations must be in writing via the Nomination Form which can be found here, signed by nominators who are fully paid-up individual members. If you need assistance with this, please contact Gregory Gerhardt. Nominees must also attach a copy of their current Curriculum Vitae (CV) to the Nomination Form. The completed Nomination Form and CV must be received no later than 6 November at gregory.gerhardt@kiteboardingwa.org.au, cc daniel.anderson@kiteboardingwa.org.au.
